The insured person suffers the permanent and irreversible loss of sight in both eyes. The permanent and irreversible loss of sight must be confirmed by an appropriate specialist medical practitioner and measured by one of the following: visual acuity of less than 6/60 in both eyes after correction, or a field of vision constricted to 20 degrees of arc or less, or a combination of visual defects resulting in the same degree of visual impairment as that occurring in either of the above.
