A non-cancerous tumour in the brain or spinal cord that gives rise to characteristic symptoms of intracranial pressure, such as papilloedema, mental symptoms, seizures and sensory impairment and results in: permanent neurological damage and functional impairment diagnosed by an appropriate specialist medical practitioner, or surgical treatment for its removal where this is considered the appropriate and medically necessary treatment.
